The Rwanda Institute of Cooperatives, Entrepreneurship, and Microfinance (RICEM), in collaboration with the Rwanda Cooperative Agency (RCA), is conducting a five-day professional training on Loan Management and Portfolio Analysis for Microfinance Institutions (MFIs) from 11th to 15th May 2026 at the RICEM Musanze Training Center.
The training has brought together 38 participants from different DSACCOs across the country with the objective of strengthening their knowledge and practical skills in loan management, portfolio analysis.
Throughout the training sessions, participants are being equipped with practical techniques and approaches to improve loan portfolio quality, enhance credit monitoring practices, reduce portfolio risks, and strengthen decision-making within their institutions.
This initiative reflects the continued commitment of RICEM and RCA to promoting professionalism, institutional sustainability, and capacity development within Rwanda’s microfinance and cooperative sectors.
By empowering DSACCO staff with advanced financial management skills, the training is expected to contribute to improved service delivery and stronger financial institutions that effectively support community development and economic growth.
