Simeon Sibobugingo has over 16 years of professional working experience in Rwandan microfinance sector. He holds a Master’s degree in Microfinance from CESAG, Dakar, Senegal. And also holds a Bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Rwanda (former NUR). He is Certified Public Accountant (CPA) by KASNEB (Kenya). Currently, he is working an Audit Manager at KFV Partners Ltd (audit firm). He is also a certified trainer in RICEM’s Dual Apprenticeship system, for the modules of ‘accounting and finance’ and ‘internal audit and control’ applied in MFI’s.
He previously held various positions including senior positions such as a Managing Director in AXON TUNGA MICROFINANCE Plc for about 4 years. Finance Manager for about 6 years, Chief Internal Auditor for about 5 years and Chief Accountant for about 3 years all in AMASEZERANO COMMUNITY BANKING Plc.
Throughout his professional carrier, Mr Sibobugingo has attended various trainings organized by both local and international organizations. This training includes ‘agriculture and rural finance’ (FRA 2021) organized by ADA and Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs Luxembourg in partnership with FAO, ‘Performance evaluation in microfinance institutions’ organized by ADA and BRS in collaboration with AZIMUT-IF, ‘Human Resources Excellence 2013’ and ‘cash and liquidity management masterclass’ both received in Nairobi/Kenya and organized by Marcus Evens.
