Eugene Byansi is an independent seasoned consultant, who started his consultancy career in 2011 and has got a lot of expertise in the field capacity building for cooperative organizations, micro and medium businesses. In this time, he has fully developed various professional training modules and facilitated many trainings and coaching for both primary cooperatives and their umbrella organizations. The range of training topics include governance and a leadership of cooperatives, strategic and operational planning in cooperatives, financial management and accounting system for cooperatives, marketing in cooperatives, business planning and management as well as project design, appraisal and control.

Some of the major clients which Mr. Byansi has served as a consultant, include but not limited to : (i) RICEM, (ii) The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, (iii) German Sparkassenstiftung for International Cooperation (DSIK), (iv) USAID/Land o’Lakes Venture37, (v) International Gorilla Conservation Program (IGCP), (vi) Diana Fossey Gorilla Fund International (DFGFI), (vii) NAEB, (viii) Centre Igiti cy’Ubugingo, (ix) FUCORIRWA and FERWACOTHE. He also served as a part-time lecturer of cooperatives and microfinance management courses at Independent University of Lay Adventist of Kigali (UNILAK).

Mr. Byansi is a certified trainer of Rwanda Institute of Cooperatives, Entrepreneurship and Microfinance (RICEM), and he holds two Master degrees : (i) Master of Arts in cooperative and community development from Sokokine University of Agriculture (Tanzania), (ii) Master of Finance and Control from Amity University, Uttar Pradesh (India). He also has got a Bachelor degree of applied statistics from the University of Rwanda /National University of Rwanda.
Eugene Byansi is fluent in Kinyarwanda, French, English, and Kiswahili.
