Mrs. Odette Uwangabiye is a Rwandan trainer with more than 8 years of practical experience in provision of professional training. Since 2020, she qualified as a Master Trainer, and works closely with DSIK (formally known as SBFIC), AMIR and RICEM to build the capacity of micro and small enterprises through the Micro Business Game “Get to know your numbers”.
Mrs. Odette has facilitated several training of trainers (TOT), and trained dozens of participants in different districts of Rwanda. She is also a certified business coach and she was facilitated more than 15 sessions of group coaching, as a follow up on the Micro Business Game training.
She also has developed experience in facilitating training on Entrepreneurship, and has facilitated many sessions and provided technical assistance on the topic targeting ex-combatants, members of cooperatives supported by Rwanda Demobilization Reintegration Commission (RDRC), a partner to RICEM. She conducted also many personnel Business Coaching sessions in Gatsibo District, in 2021.
Prior to becoming a trainer and a business coach, Mrs. Odette worked in different institutions such as the former CAF ISONGA ltd (microfinance) as Administrative Assistant and as Loan Officer ; in the National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda (NISR) as Enumerator in many surveys ; Business Communication Solutions (BCS) TUVUGANE as a Field Sales Assistant and in Local Government as Executive Secretary of Nyanza Sector.
Mrs. Odette has attended many training opportunities to polish her skills as a trainer, including : Cash Flow Based Lending for SMEs, Cooperative Assessment Matrix-CAM TOOL by AMIR/TERRAFINA, Consumer protection and institutional assessment by the SMART CAMPAIGN-SEEP Network, Business Individual Coaching to micro entrepreneurs by RICEM.
Mrs. Odette holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Kigali Independent University (ULK). She is fluent in English, French and Kinyarwanda.
