TVET SCHOOL MANAGERS TRAINING PROGRAM

Rwanda Institute of Cooperatives, Entrepreneurship and Microfinance (RICEM) aims to professionalize the actors involved in the development of cooperatives, Small Medium Enterprises and Microfinance Institutions (MFIs) through capacity building/trainings.

It is in that framework RICEM and the Jumelage Coordination office of the Partnership -Rhineland-Palatinate Rwanda went into collaboration aimed at capacity building of the TVET school managers taken from 25 TVET Schools from different parts of the country.

The training programs started from 8th up to 14th August, 2022 and emphasized mainly on different modules namely : Introduction to entrepreneurship through psychometric test, Business simulations precisely Microbusiness Game and Savings Game , Business Model Canvas (BMC), Ring toss and Cooperative Management. With those modules as trained, managers will be able to manage their production units as business entities.

The TVET school managers training program remains an instrumental program in achieving the effective management of TVET production units as business entities.
In many regards, the objectives of the training program were achieved exemplified by the acquired business managerial skills and knowledge, increased confidence, entrepreneurial mindset and effective decision making. All school managers that underwent the training program concurred that it was a capacity upgrade relevant for bolstering their managerial potentials from the content and methodology perspectives.

TVET schools managers, Partrnership -Rhineland-Palatinate Rwanda and RICEM, owe the successful implementation of this training program to the complementary collaboration, timely exchange, valuable input and relentless commitment.
