Rwanda Institute of Cooperative Entrepreneurship and Microfinance in partnership with German Sparkassenstiftung Eastern Africa DSIK and National Cooperative Confederation of Rwanda organized Farmers Business Simulation training to women cooperatives’ leaders selected from Farmer cooperatives located in 4 Districts namely RUBAVU, NYABIHU, BURERA and MUSANZE. The training session started from 20th up to 23rd March 2023 with 23 women farmers ; majorities were committee members that came from 14 cooperatives in EASTERN Province.

Throughout the training, participants acquired valuable knowledge in various "Know How" sessions, complementing their practical experience in managing the Farmers Business Simulation
What made this training particularly appreciated was the "learning by doing" experience, which proved to be of immense value compared to other training programs. Participants didn’t just absorb knowledge ; they actively engaged with it, reflected on its application, and ultimately integrated these newfound concepts into their daily activities.

The positive response has prompted suggestions to expand this transformative training to other cooperative members, underlining its potential to uplift entire communities
