Samson is a Rwandan Financial Services Professional in Microfinance. He has a Degree of Economics with specialization in Money and Banking and expects to be Certified as Financial Modeling and Valuation Analyst.

Since 2010, Samson has built his professional carrier in Financial services industry in East Africa. During the last 10 years, he has served as Microleasing Project in Charge for SWISSCONTACT in Rwanda where he performed the role of project implementation in Rwanda. He has demonstrated his skills in project partnership agreements with both public and private sector stakeholders that resulted in the integration of leasing model in Microfinance sector in Rwanda.

From 2011 to 2014, as Inspector of MFIs and SACCOS at the Central Bank of Rwanda (BNR), he took responsibilities of coaching, supervising and mentoring to Umurenge Saccos and MFIs, and During this time, he has facilitated the Product Development to SACCOS and facilitated the establishment of delivery channel for financial services products.

From 2010 to 2011, he has been working as Group Loan Officer at former Rwanda Microfinance Ltd (Current Letshego Rwanda Ltd) where he played a great role in private sector development and access to finance model that facilitated small business entities to be integrated in banking system.

In 2014, Mr. Samson has Created a Consulting Firm called “Finance International Centre”, the company that operates in Microfinance Development Programs in Rwanda.

He is providing technical support and training programs in terms of Governance, Product Development, Risk Management, Business and operational management, External Audit and Human Resource development and policy setting.

Samson as Consultant, he has also supported various International and local Access to Finance Projects implemented by several Organizations namely World Bank Project of Financial Education to SACCOS, Capacity Building of Tea SACCOS with Access to Finance Rwanda, Capacity building of SACCO Employees by World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU), due diligence to MFIs and SACCOS with Access to Finance Rwanda and Swisscontact, Training to Farmers’ Cooperatives with African Research And Economic Development Consultants Ltd (AFREDEC LTD) as well Training to MFI employees with RICEM. He is currently supporting United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) as Savings Group Trainer in Rwanda.

Samson has got Certified as Master Trainer in Financial Education and Trainer to Microfinance, Entrepreneurship and Cooperatives by RICEM, ENCLUDE and World Bank in 2015 in 2015 and has experience in Training the MFIs and SACCO Staff, governing bodies and members in all provinces of Rwanda.
