Mrs. Chantal UWAMARIYA holds a Master’s Degree in MBA/Project Management from Universities of Kigali and Bachelor’s degree in Management from ICK,
She has also acquired financial institution management skills and knowledge from the different short & long term training and workshops attended and completed both national and international.

Mrs. Chantal UWAMARIYA is currently working with MFIs as the Managing Director of Cooperative of Progress and Financing INEZA (CPF INEZA) and she had opportunities to work with SEEP Network, SBFIC, AMIR, RICEM, RABOBANK FOUNDATION, She is currently the Board Secretary of Association of Microfinance institution in Rwanda (AMIR).

She is familiar with Microfinance issues, opportunities and stakeholders that will enable to discuss and to manage their Resources. She has profound knowledge of the Rwandan Microfinance industry, since she trained the elected organs and staff of SACCOs/MFIs in different Districts.

She attended training for women’s mentorship from different countries that was organized by CDF in CANADA with an objective of theoretical and practical learning in managing their lending operations efficiently and professionally with minimum financial risks, increasing membership, improving liquidity/profitability, improving reputation of SACCOs in local community, expanding operations/new branches, professionalization of operations and new products and services for members.

She also attended various workshops .in different countries such as NIGERIA, BURUNDI and TANZANIA. Those workshop were like setting a platform for exchanging experiences in capacity development in the MFI, enhancing the women skills and knowledge in setting as well as significantly increase confidence and resolve to become equal contributors in the workforce.

She is certified by Rwanda Institute of Microfinance, Cooperative and Entrepreneurship (RICEM) as a trainer in Governance and loan management in MFI/Sacco.
