In a flavorful collaboration aimed at enriching lives and building skills, the Rwanda Institute of Cooperative, Entrepreneurship, and Microfinance (RICEM) has joined forces with the Feed The Future Hanga Akazi USAID Project to offer an intensive culinary training program. With a commitment to fostering to empowering individuals, this initiative is set to transform the culinary landscape of Rwanda.

Fifty-seven eager learners have embarked on a culinary journey spanning 24 days, immersing themselves in the art and science of culinary mastery. Divided into two immersive phases, this comprehensive training equips participants with both technical expertise and essential soft skills necessary for success in the culinary world.
For the first 12 days, the trainings are dedicated to nurturing soft skills essential for thriving in the culinary industry. From effective communication to creative problem-solving, participants learn to navigate the dynamic landscape of the culinary world with confidence and finesse.

Recognizing the importance of holistic development, the remaining 12 days participants dive headfirst into the realm of technical proficiency, honing their culinary craft under the guidance of seasoned professionals. From knife skills to flavor pairings, the curriculum covers a wide array of culinary techniques essential for creating gastronomic delights that tantalize the taste buds.
Through this transformative partnership, RICEM and Feed The Future Hanga Akazi USAID Project are not only imparting culinary knowledge but also fostering a spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation.
